Manager of Global Demand Planning - hybrid at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.
The Job
As the Manager of Global Demand Planning COE reporting to the Director of Global Demand Planning, you will help document, define, and implement a Global Demand Planning strategy and planning tool within the Tools & Outdoor business. You will leverage your Demand Planning and system implementation expertise to evaluate and understand existing end-to-end Demand Planning processes by Region, and design best-in-class, future-state ways of working. Your experience in complex planning tool implementations will help lead Stanley Black & Decker into the future of planning.
* Represent Global Demand COE in PlanTogether system selection discussions, requirement validation and testing, and global implementation
* Collaborate with IT and Global/Regional business partners to ensure future-state E2E planning processes will be supported by the technology
* Streamline existing Demand Planning reporting and key routines across the Regions with Global Analytics and IT, including examples such as: Demand reporting consolidation and evolution; Forecast Value Add report roll-out; Root Cause Analysis Automation
* Prepare and periodically present monthly Global Demand presentations as needed (Quarterly SC Townhalls, etc)
* Collaborate with Global Supply COE team to ensure a standard approach to playbook creation and implementation activities
* Attend Regional Demand meetings to understand current process status and identify potential opportunity areas
* Participate in the design, documentation and implementation of a future-state Global Demand Planning process within a centralized Demand Planning Playbook
* Analyze current-state processes by Region to understand differences in weekly planning process execution, systems, data, planning scope, and team structure
* Present regular status updates on Demand Planning Playbook progress to Global and Regional Supply Chain leadership, proactively managing risks to goals or timelines
* Collaborate with Global POD and Regional cross-functional teams to map Day-In-The-Life tactical processes gaps and maturity
* Partner with Global POD teams to outline process training strategies and implement Regional training as needed
* Assist with monthly Global Demand Planning quick-win initiatives as needed

* External knowledge of Supply Chain Planning technology (Kinaxis, SAP IBP)
* Ability to convey complex ideas in both technical and business language

* Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
* Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Experience & Education
* BS in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
* 6+ years of Supply Chain, Demand Planning, and Project Management experience
* Extensive experience training on process and planning tool capabilities
* Experience with planning system implementation within large global organizations like Kinaxis, SAP IBP, o9, Blue Yonder
* At least 3 years of management experience
