Scrum Master (Java Background)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in Java development to lead and support Agile teams delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will combine solid Scrum expertise with hands-on Java experience to effectively facilitate the Agile process, remove impediments, and foster a collaborative, continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) to ensure productive team collaboration.
* Work closely with Product Owners to manage product backlog and prioritize user stories.
* Coach and mentor the Agile teams on Scrum best practices and Agile mindset.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
* Identify and remove impediments blocking team progress.
* Track and communicate team progress using Agile metrics and reporting tools.
* Promote continuous improvement and foster a culture of high performance.
* Leverage Java development experience to understand technical challenges and support the team effectively.
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely software increments.
* Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
* Strong hands-on Java development background (experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, or related frameworks).
* Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
* Experience with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
* Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple teams or projects simultaneously.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remove impediments.
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
Preferred Skills
* Experience working in large-scale Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, etc.).
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
* Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Experience with automated testing and quality assurance processes.
* Ability to mentor junior Scrum Masters or Agile team members.
