About the Role
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer (Freelance) to join our client's dynamic Agile team for a 24-month project based in Melle. You'll play a pivotal role in developing and evolving web applications that manage public lighting assets and processes, directly impacting the transformation of smart cities and sustainable urban environments. What You'll Be Doing
Design, develop, and implement new functionalities in existing and new web applications using .NET and Angular frameworks.
Collaborate closely with product owners and team members to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
Drive both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
Support, adapt, and maintain web applications, handling both project-based and incident-driven work.
Contribute to functional and technical design, ensuring solutions are scalable and maintainable.
Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests and technical documentation.
Champion quality assurance through code reviews and adherence to best practices and internal IT standards.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, planning, and release management.
Engage in knowledge sharing and mentoring within the development team.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including service desk, project managers, and infrastructure teams.
Provide technical advice and evaluate the feasibility of new requests.
Apply ITIL-based change and release management processes meticulously.
Technical Skills
5+ years of demonstrable experience in .NET-based application development (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core).
5+ years of experience with Angular 2 or higher.
4+ years of experience in web development with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
Strong experience with Entity Framework and relational databases (Oracle, SQL, etc.).
Proficient in writing unit tests using nUnit, xUnit, or Windsor Castle.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and developments on Azure.
Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams.
Experience with process-driven organizations and ITIL-based operations, especially change and release management.
Language Proficiency
Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR level C2 is required.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
