Team/division description
Research and Development (R&D) in Europe is responsible for the planning, the development and the production of attractive, superior quality cars matching European market requirements. R&D aims to strengthen the Toyota brand in Europe.
TME Powertrain Testing departments’ responsibilities are:
1. Evaluation of HEV and BEV Powertrain components (engine, motor, transmission, battery and related parts).
2. Support the shift to electrification by investigating European trends for e-Axles and components.
3. Calibrate and evaluate Hybrid powertrain to realize EU customer demand and EU regulation.
4. Validate Model Based Development.
5. Evaluate EU new powertrain technologies for future TOYOTA mass-production.
All of this by following the Toyota 5C principles being Courage, Creativity, Curiosity, Coaching and Collaboration to continuously develop ourselves, embracing diversity, equity and inclusiveness.
Your responsibilities
6. Prepare and Evaluate BEV battery pack/ battery cells.
7. Evaluate Electric Powertrain components, with strong focus on Battery, Motor, Transaxle, Charging,…
8. Vehicle instrumentation to perform driveshaft strength measurements
9. OBD-CAN signal decoding
10. Data analysis and reporting to Engineering Team.
Your Profile
11. You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
12. A2/A1 degree in automotive technology
13. You have knowledge/ experience in electronics
14. Experience 0-5years. Candidates with a few years of experience (R&D, dealership, racing,… ) is an asset
15. Required computer skills: O365 applications, 3D drawing software (. Inventor, CATIA).
16. Owner of a driving license.
17. Strong measurement equipment background
18. You have good fact finding and analysis skills to draw conclusions from the gathered data and information
19. You have a creative mind and a passion for cars
20. You are well organised and your flexibility makes you a perfect team player
21. Self-starter, taking initiative
22. Open personality able to work in an independent way, hands-on mentality, out-of-box thinking and with a strong proactive mindset
23. Stress resistance and good personal organization competences in order to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
