We are looking for an Analytical Scientist who is analytical, collaborative, and proactive to join our Biological Method Development Sciences team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium.
About the role
You will play a key role in developing, validating, and transferring biological methods to support drug development from early clinical phases to commercialization. You’re going to ensure scientific excellence, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of analytical solutions.
Who you will work with
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QC, research, regulatory affairs, and external partners (CMOs/CROs). You’ll also represent the ADS team in project meetings and contribute to regulatory submissions.
What you will do
1. You will design and execute experiments for method development, transfer and validation.
2. You will be responsible for reviewing and approving protocols, procedures, and reports.
3. You will manage daily lab activities and supervise analytical workflows.
4. You will analyze and verify data and present findings to project teams.
5. You will liaise with internal and external partners to ensure knowledge transfer.
6. You will support regulatory file preparation and respond to authority requests.
Interested?
For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
7. Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
8. Proven experience in bioanalytical techniques (e.g., ELISA, qPCR, electrophoresis, microbiology methods).
9. Experience in cell biology techniques (e.g., cell count, gene copy number determination, etc)
10. Strong lab skills and ability to troubleshoot complex analytical issues.
11. Experience working under GMP/GSP and understanding regulatory standards.
12. Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead within a matrix environment.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
