Since November 2025, our state-of-the-art Scala Event Center in Ghent has been welcoming guests for meetings, celebrations, and corporate events. This stylish venue brings business and festive moments together in an atmosphere of class and refinement. For this unique location, we are looking for an Meeting Event Supervisor: someone who leads the event team, keeps oversight during busy moments, and acts as the main point of contact for our guests. You are visibly present on the floor and ensure the flawless execution of every event.
Your responsibilities
* You are the first point of contact for guests during events, meetings, and dinners.
* You manage the team of waiters and ensure efficient collaboration.
* You maintain an overview during peak times and respond quickly to unexpected situations.
* You ensure a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the event spaces.
* You make sure the preparation and execution of events go according to plan.
* You coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and other teams for seamless service.
Who are we looking for?
* You have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership or coordinating role within the hospitality or event industry.
* You are stress-resistant, organized, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
* You are flexible – willing to work shifts between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., including weekends and public holidays.
* You are a born communicator who motivates colleagues and exceeds guest expectations.
* You have strong communication skills and speak fluent Dutch or English (additional languages are a plus).
* You are looking for a full-time (38h) or at least 4/5 employment.
