We are looking for an in-house nurse to accompany a 93-year-old gentleman, a former doctor, psychiatrist and former mayor of Dilbeek.
He is a cultured, independent personality, and keen to live at home in a dignified and pleasant environment.
The gentleman appreciates discreet but present company. He wants to share moments of conversation with someone who is well-groomed, polite, and attentive, who doesn't spend all day in his room or on his phone.
About the beneficiary
The beneficiary is a 93-year-old man, a former doctor, psychiatrist, and former mayor of Dilbeek. He is a cultured, independent individual who is committed to maintaining a dignified and pleasant life at home. He speaks Dutch, French, and English. He is independent with a crutch, wears a knee and hip prosthesis, and suffers from minor digestive problems. He uses protective gear day and night as a precaution, but does not require any assistance at night or special nursing care.
Living environment and environment:
Lives alone in a very nice house with swimming pool in Dilbeek (10 km from Brussels)
Calm and pleasant environment
Car provided (Audi A1) for travel
Internal contract: room, board, Wi-Fi provided
Regular home visits:
Discreet but real presence expected: gentleman wants respectful and careful company
Appreciated exchange, without isolation or excessive use of the telephone or withdrawal into the room
Organization of the day:
Wake up: around 9 a.m.
Breakfast: 10 a.m. (after picking up the newspaper)
Hot meal: 13 p.m.
Afternoon: calm, without any particular activity
Visits to his wife: 3 times a week in a nursing home (car provided)
Various appointments: accompaniment required
Dinner: 18 p.m.
Night: 4 nighttime wake-ups, without need for assistance
Your missions
* Daily presence and caring support
* Organization of the rhythm of the day:
* Drive the gentleman to his appointments
* Organize and accompany him 3 times a week to the nursing home to visit his wife (car provided: Audi A1)
* Provide careful, polite, discreet but present company
* Don't stay locked in your room or on the phone
Required profile :
Woman ideally aged ±50 years
Driving license required
Good presentation, discreet, likes to chat
Experience in caring for or accompanying elderly people
Serious, reliable and autonomous
Impeccable presentation and impeccable hygiene
Conditions financial :
Location : Dilbeek (10 km from Brussels)
Start-up : As soon as possible
Contract : Boarding (accommodation, food, wifi provided)
Salary : €1.900 net/month
