Mission
As a Network Engineer, you are vital to our infrastructure; without a secure network, Carrefour's stores, warehouses, and offices cannot function or communicate. You are responsible for planning, constructing, and managing networks to ensure optimization, while providing technical security guidance and advice to other teams and projects.
Responsibilities
* Network Solutions: Procure, install, configure, and support network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, and firewalls.
* Optimization & Maintenance: Collaborate with network architects to improve performance and schedule essential firmware updates and upgrades.
* Incident Remediation: Monitor network performance, investigate faults, and coordinate troubleshooting activities to ensure business continuity.
* Security & Standards: Define, document, and enforce network system standards and access policies.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain technical documentation, asset inventories, and report network status to key stakeholders.
* Collaboration: Liaise regularly with project management teams, managed service providers, and service desk engineers.
Profile
* Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, proxies, and VPNs. Google Cloud network experience is considered a plus.
* Languages: Fluent in English and either Dutch or French.
* Competencies: Highly analytical (3/3), result-oriented, and possessing strong persuasion and communication skills.
