About the Role
RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior Solution Architect (Freelance) to join our client's ICT architecture team, focusing on the Corporate Domain (notably Human Resources and ICT, with potential to support other subdomains). This is a 12-month freelance assignment based in Melle, designed for a builder who thrives on architecting complex, high-impact solutions in large-scale environments. You'll be at the heart of digital transformation, shaping the future of HR and ICT landscapes for organizations with 5,000+ users.

What You'll Be Doing
* Lead architectural management and design for HR and ICT subdomains, with a focus on application, data, and integration architecture.
* Architect and document agile, state-of-the-art solutions (application, integration, data, security) for large-scale environments (5,000+ users).
* Drive the setup and integration of HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HR-HCM, payroll, R3 & S/4) and ensure robust architectural structure and platform integration.
* Design and manage identity and access management (IAM) processes, including authentication, authorization, identity providers, certificates, PKI, and external identity integrations (B2B/B2C, federation).
* Architect and optimize integration platforms (service bus, Kafka, Microsoft/SAP integration, APIM, event-driven architectures, APIs, middleware).
* Oversee the Partner Portal (Azure/.NET development, SAP CRM, IDM, HR, XECM, external parties, Azure DataPlatform).
* Leverage and manage the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Tempo) for architectural and technical modeling.
* Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for architectural decisions.
* Champion composable, cost-conscious architectures and incremental approaches toward target architecture.
* Document and communicate architecture using industry-standard modeling tools and techniques (Archimate, Togaf, UML, Sparx EA, LeanIX).
Technical Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years as a Solution Architect in large-scale, complex environments.
* Deep expertise in external identity integrations (B2B/B2C, federation) – 3+ years.
* Advanced knowledge of IAM processes (authentication, authorization, identity providers, certificates, role/access management) – 5+ years.
* Proven experience with architectural and technical modeling, especially with Atlassian Suite tools (Jira, Confluence, Tempo) – 3+ years.
* Strong background in cloud architecture, especially Azure and related technologies – 5+ years.
* Expertise in designing and modeling integrations (APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures) – 5+ years.
* Hands-on experience with SAP IDM – 3+ years.
* Technical mastery of SSO, MFA, ItsMe, CSAM (architecture and design, not just user-level) – 3+ years.
* Proficiency with at least one modeling tool: Sparx EA or LeanIX – 5+ years.
* Comprehensive knowledge of modeling techniques: Archimate, Togaf, UML, Sparx EA – 5+ years.
* Extensive experience with Active Directory, EntraID B2B/B2C – 3+ years.
* In-depth experience with SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HCM (R3 and S/4H), including interfacing – 5+ years.
* Strong data architecture skills: data modeling, data flows, data platforms – 5+ years.
* Demonstrated experience in similar business contexts (5,000+ users).
* Clear communication skills and a customer-focused, solution-oriented approach.
* Experience as a Solution Architect in SAP-centric environments is a strong plus (3+ years).
* Experience in the Belgian energy sector is a nice-to-have.
Language Proficiency
* Dutch at European CEFR level C2 (mandatory).
