Responsibilities
1. Credit analysis and credit collection
As a Credit Expert, you will be responsible for risk management of the bpost and other group entities' portfolios, focusing on foreign companies and the most complex cases for Belgian companies. Your tasks include validating credit information (credit limits, ratings, guarantees), analyzing company balance sheets (solvency reports, ratios), and providing financial recommendations to the sales department. You will also handle credit collection activities, such as issuing recall letters and negotiating with clients, for a small client portfolio.
1. Problem solving
You will coordinate efforts between finance and sales to resolve issues, always keeping customer satisfaction in mind.
1. Continuous improvement
Lean principles are central to your daily activities. You will critically assess existing processes and workflows, seeking efficiency gains as part of our organizational change.
Profile
We value diverse backgrounds and talents. The ideal candidate will have:
* A Master’s degree in economics, business administration, or a related field, with a passion for finance.
* Relevant experience in a finance department of a commercial company.
* Knowledge of commercial law is a plus.
* Proficiency in Dutch and French; English communication skills are also important.
* The ability to challenge respectfully and persuade with fact-based arguments.
* Demonstrated ownership, autonomy, and team integration skills.
