Energy Portfolio Manager Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Energy Portfolio Manager to join our team and contribute to the commercial success of our energy operations.
About the Role
This is a strategic role that requires a deep understanding of the energy market, commercial operations, and asset management. As an Energy Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for optimising and future-proofing the value of our energy portfolio by structuring and negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), valorising the flexibility of our asset base, developing innovative sourcing strategies, and crafting holistic energy strategies for commercial and industrial clients.
* You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve our commercial operations and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* A strong analytical mindset, capable of working with complex commercial data and contracts, is essential for this role. You will need to develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the Belgian power market fundamentals, including regulatory context, market design, and flexibility mechanisms.
* The successful candidate will have at least 5-10 years of experience in an energy market-specific role, including sourcing, pricing, trading, origination, or related functions. A hands-on experience with PPA structuring or energy contracting for large-scale assets is also required.
* Candidates should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a strong commercial orientation with a sense for value creation and risk management.
* Familiarity with industry-standard software applications and tools is beneficial, but not necessary.
Key Requirements:
