PowerCenter Data Engineer (On-Premises) – ContractLocation: Brussels, Belgium (2 days onsite per week)Contract Length: 6–12 monthsRate: €500–€700 per day (maximum)Interview Process: Two-stage interview processOverviewWe are seeking an experienced PowerCenter Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Informatica PowerCenter within an on-premises data environment. The successful candidate will join a data engineering team responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-scale data integration and ETL solutions.This role requires a highly technical professional who can work independently, troubleshoot complex data issues, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of data platforms and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.Build and optimize data integration solutions across multiple source and target systems.Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable data engineering solutions.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data processing and performance issues.Perform data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation activities.Support deployment, testing, and release management activities.Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and other technical teams to ensure reliable data delivery.Contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong commercial experience with Informatica PowerCenter.Proven background in ETL development and data integration projects.Experience working in on-premises data environments.Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments.Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.LanguagesEnglish (required)French and/or Flemish/Dutch (nice to have)Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a technically strong data engineer with deep PowerCenter expertise, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and experience delivering robust data integration solutions in complex enterprise environments.
