Operational Excellence Engineer
Job description
We are looking for a hands-on Operational Excellence Engineer to drive measurable improvements in factory performance.
You will work closely with Production Engineering, Production, Quality and R&D, translating strategy into concrete shopfloor actions. You take ownership of improvement projects end-to-end and represent the factory in global operational excellence forums. You will join a young, collaborative technical team with a strong hands-on mindset.
Key responsibilities
1. Own and drive the factory Hoshin plan
2. Identify and implement end-to-end operational improvements
3. Lead improvement projects with technicians and operational teams
4. Ensure delivery on scope, timing, cost and quality
5. Reduce recurring costs (energy, downtime, maintenance, rework)
6. Support teams with Lean, structured problem solving and visual management (SQDC)
7. Define, implement and sustain efficient ways of working
Profile
8. Ambitious, hands-on team player with a continuous improvement mindset
9. Able to influence, motivate and challenge others constructively
10. Comfortable working both strategically and on the shopfloor
11. Result-oriented, proactive and ownership-driven
Required qualifications
12. Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in engineering or a technical field
13. 3–5 years of Lean / CI experience in a discrete manufacturing environment
Preferred qualifications
14. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with business awareness
15. Basic understanding of ERP, KPIs and financial concepts
16. Affinity with maintenance, facilities or energy topics
17. Professional working proficiency in English
18. Basic proficiency in French
