Role summary: Lead transportation procurement operations, managing carrier contracts and processes to ensure efficient delivery while optimizing costs.Key job responsibilities- Evaluate contracts and conduct performance audits;- Perform cost analysis and establish improvement benchmarks;- Implement risk management procedures;- Drive supplier relationships and negotiations;- Ensure compliance with company spending policies;- Lead procurement metrics and improvement initiatives;- Track KPIs and develop action plans for savings goals;- Manage category suppliers to proactively identify, monitor and optimize opportunities.- Identify, achieve and report on savings and value targets for category sourcing activities.- Align with internal customers and understand the business application of the category.- Analyze data and find patterns to optimize Amazon Costs;
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree- Speak, write, and read fluently in English- Experience with Excel, including use of complex formulas and pivot tables to manipulate large datasets and interpret results- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company- Can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in supply chain such as contracting, demand management and/or planning and procurement, and supply chain operations- Transportation/logistics industry exposure preferred
