Their expertise spans across feasibility studies, advanced visualization, andprehensive project management, from schematic design through to construction & closeout.Your new roleAs an Architectural Technologist, you are responsible for the preparation of design and construction drawings for high-rise residential projects, utilizing advanced knowledge of building materials, architectural design, and assembly methodologies. Your role willprise technical design & documentation, project coordination andpliance, and team support & development. This role serves as a vital link between schematic design and the final construction documents, leveraging Revit and AutoCAD technology. You will be responsible for producing and finalizing various architectural drawings and documents for submissions, including site plans, floor plans, sections, elevations, ceiling plans, and detailed assemblies. You will manage the creation of specific plans such as screen plans, and schedules, as well aspile quantities for elements like doors and windows, and ensure all deliverables are accurate andpliant with required specifications.What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will need a Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Architecture, with at least 5+ years of local drafting experience, preferably with mid/high-rise residential projects. You will need strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks; MEP experience is beneficial. Experience with SketchUp is a plus. Strong knowledge of sustainable design practices, the Ontario Building Code, and zoning requirements is required. This job requires you to be in office 100% in the Kitchener/Waterloo area.
