At Manuchar, every employee plays a key role in our international success. For our Pulp&Paper division, we are looking for a driven Junior Trader to help us expand our business in East Africa.
Your role
From our headquarters in Antwerp, you will develop a profitable customer and supplier portfolio in East Africa. You build strong commercial relationships, closely follow market developments, and contribute to the strategic direction of your region. Regular travel to East Africa is an essential part of the job.
What will you do?
* You will receive an intensive introduction to our processes, products, and operations related to East Africa.
* You handle customer requests, prepare quotations, and close deals in close collaboration with suppliers.
* You ensure every commercial opportunity grows into a successful and smoothly executed deal.
* You develop a strong network through daily customer contact and regular business trips.
* As your product and market knowledge grows, you will gradually evolve into an independent Trader with full responsibility for your own markets.
Your profile
* You have min. Bachelor degree and at least 1 year of experience in a commercial role within an international environment.
* You are skilled at building trust, establishing long-term relationships and driven to achieve results.
* You speak English fluently, knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
* You thrive in a multicultural setting and are willing to travel regularly to East Africa.
* Based in Belgium, ideally in the Antwerp region.
