What will your routine look like working with us?
* Globally responsible for developing and deploying advanced AI solutions across GDM’s plant breeding and genomics R&D portfolio to accelerate genetic gain, improve selection accuracy, and shorten breeding cycles.
* Integrate phenotypic, genotypic, environmental, and remote sensing datasets into scalable AI architectures.
* Implementing new machine learning models as an alternative to traditional methods of genomic selection.
* Build agentic AI workflows to automate breeding analytics, model retraining, and decision-support pipelines.
Requirements to participate in the process:
* Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or Agricultural Engineer, with a Master’s and/or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or Plant Breeding
* Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and AI, including different algorithms, techniques, and applications
* Strong foundation in quantitative genetics and breeding systems.
* Implement imputation methods for genotypic data; optimize training sets & genetic diversity for genome-wide selection in a crop breeding
* Develop and deploy advanced genomic prediction models (e.g., multi-trait, multi-environment, G×E).
* Deploy AI models into production environments with monitoring, reproducibility, and performance tracking.
* Proficiency in programming languages used in Machine Learning, such as Python and R. Experience with Machine Learning libraries and frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras)
* Advanced English
