Position Overview/Duties
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD, Section 9905 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Serves as a Branch Chief within the South Atlantic Division Technical Regional Execution Center (TREC), with responsibility for administering and directing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Regulatory Program throughout the region. The program focuses on improving and protecting the physical, biological, and chemical integrity of the nation's water resources and ensuring regulated activities are consistent with the public interest, considering environmental, social, and economic factors.
Leads and manages an inclusive workforce, leveraging the skills, experience, and talents of each employee.
Works closely with senior leadership to ensure the Branch's long-term objectives align with District, Division, and organizational policies and strategic goals.
Develops and implements strategies to leverage emerging technologies to enhance productivity and improve the quality of business decisions.
Executes the Corps Regulatory Program within the assigned area to meet management needs and functional responsibilities. Implements, monitors, and reports on policies and procedures to ensure effective program management and execution. Interprets and directs the implementation of applicable regulations, directives, and procedures.
Initiates and implements program improvements in response to policy changes and ongoing analysis of assigned functions to ensure the efficient and successful accomplishment of the regulatory mission.

A trial or probationary period may be required.
A supervisory probationary period may be required.
Duty Location: Negotiable within the South Atlantic Division's Area of Responsibility (AOR)
Direct deposit of pay is required.
This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) and/or business travel of 25% of the time.
The incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon entering on duty and annually thereafter.
This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License from one of the 50 U.S. states or U.S. possessions to operate government vehicles.
Hiring incentives, such as a recruitment or relocation bonus, service credit for leave accrual, and student loan repayment, may be authorized, subject to available funding.
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) relocation expenses may be authorized, subject to available funding, if determined to be in the best interest of the government by the selecting official.
This position is eligible for situational or regular and recurring telework, in accordance with agency policy.
