Your role and work environment:


We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Engineer to join our Ecosystem Core and Software acelerators Team


The responsibility of this team is providing tools and services to ING Spain developers for improving their efficiency in their daily work. You will join a high-performing team which leverages our One Agile Way of Working to achieve their maximum potential.

Your key responsibilities:

As an Engineer you will:


·Contribute to our efforts to deliver a best-in-class platform that can serve our internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on our platform ecosystem and global initiatives.

·Develop, maintain, refactor and evolve cross-organization, highly critical software.

·Co-create the next generation of our products and services so that we can keep having a positive impact for the next twenty years.

·Ensure that global platform initiatives are used and adapted for local assets.

·Work in collaboration with Architecture team for defining Savannah program initiatives.

·To be part of the team responsible for maintaining and securing the company’s core platform.

·Advance automation/removal of manual work of the company´s developers.

·Continuously take the initiative to improve the way of working and the collaboration within your squad.

·Explain technical concepts in a clear and easy-to-understand way for any audience

·Be accountable for maximising the product's value resulting from your squad's work; you support and develop your colleagues through effective knowledge sharing and resource usage and promote the one agile way of working (OAWoW) culture.

·Be a leader of technical initiatives executed by the squad.

·Helps Product Owner to define User Stories and refine the acceptance criteria.

·Strong software development skills.

·Knows how to develop software that is maintainable in the long term, easy to change, performant, and resilient.

·Good understanding of design patterns and when to use which.

·Knowledge of software development lifecycle tools such as git, Azure DevOps and Grafana.

·Can collaborate with SREs to identify root-cause and remediate any issues in production.

·Can work autonomously and take initiative.

·Makes things happen thanks to his/her ‘can do’ attitude.

·Is a team player.

·Takes the initiative for improving processes, and ensuring creative ideas are implemented.

·Is a leader of our Orange Code culture, displaying a positive attitude, commitment towards our goals, accountability, eagerness to learn and T afraid of change.

·Github copilot knowledge (nice to have).

·Programming languages knowledge: Java, Javascript, Golang, HTML.

·Testing tools knowledge: K6, PACT contract testing framework, Mocha, WebTestRunner, Playwright, Junit, etc.
