As Marketing expenses (MAC)/ Promotion expenses (PAC) Controller, you are responsible for reporting and financial support for the marketing expenditure of the entire company. In addition, you also support the Residential team in implementing all promotional campaigns in order to achieve the best results. You perform analyses and generate insights to support the business in its daily operations and decision-making. This includes:
1. Contributing to the monthly financial closing
2. Analyses of KPIs/OKRs
3. Product and business analyses
4. Budgeting and forecast updates
You will work under the supervision of the Commercial Residential & Soho business controller lead and report the necessary insights for Mac & PAC both within Circle Commercial Residential & Soho and to the various value streams.
The information and advice provided by the Business Controllers is used by the SLT and the various department heads to make strategic decisions regarding market, product, and segment orientations, as well as productivity and process improvements.
Your responsibilities as Business Controlling Officer
5. Ensuring the correct content of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the business
6. Month-end closing and control of expenses and income: ensuring that the accounting department has correct and complete information about the areas of activity of the department he/she controls in a timely manner
7. Reviewing and challenging all new promotional campaigns to ensure an acceptable return on investment.
8. Monitoring compliance with (financial) procedures relating to purchasing, ordering, etc.
9. Preparing the analysis of the department's income and expenditure in order to advise budget owners on how to maximize the efficiency of their activities and processes and optimize cash flow
10. Act as a point of contact for Project Managers for questions about actuals and administrative follow-up of the various projects.Prepare spreadsheet models for specific analyses.
11. Calculate KPIs for review and input.
12. Perform operational tasks during month-end closing and forecasting processes.

17. You have a Master's degree in economics or engineering, supplemented with financial training or equivalent experience.
18. You have at least two years of professional experience, preferably in a controller position or operational internal audit.
19. You are operationally oriented with a strong financial background and a pronounced multidisciplinary interest (sales, marketing, finance, operations).
20. You have good synthetic and analytical skills.
21. You have knowledge of Dutch and English.
