Network Security Engineer at Müller's Solutions
As a Network Security Engineer at Müller's Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our network infrastructure. Your role will include designing, implementing, and managing network security measures to protect our organization's sensitive data from cyber threats. You will work closely with various teams to monitor network traffic, respond to security incidents, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, configure, and implement network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
2. Manage security, load balancing, and routing/switching.
3. Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability tests.
4. Respond to security incidents and provide detailed analysis to mitigate impacts and prevent future issues.
5. Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance organizational security.
6. Collaborate with IT teams to support secure network operations and troubleshoot security issues.
7. Stay updated with cybersecurity trends and emerging threats to continually improve security measures.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in network security engineering or related roles.
* Experience with security network engineering, including installation and management of security equipment such as Checkpoint and Palo Alto Firewalls, ASA VPN.
* Strong knowledge of network security protocols and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network segmentation.
* Experience with security tools like SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and security analytics platforms.
* Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Strong communication skills for collaborating with teams and explaining technical concepts.
* At least 5 years of expertise in F5 WAF, Load Balancing, and Reverse Proxy (APM, ASM, LTM).
* Ability to set up and follow RFP processes.
* Good knowledge of network technologies such as BGP, OSPF, spanning-tree.
* Analytical mindset for security solutions analysis.
* Certifications like CCNA/CCNP/AWS are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications such as Cisco CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, CISSP.
* Knowledge of compliance frameworks like PCI DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001.
* Experience with Cisco ACI, DNA.
* Knowledge of cloud network management (Microsoft Azure).
* Familiarity with Windows tools (MS Office, Active Directory).
* CCIE certification is a plus.
* Technical expertise, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
