Business Analyst Expert – Transformation Project (Freelance)
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a strategic transformation project involving the replacement of a critical application within a complex organizational environment.
Context
Within the organization, resources (people, equipment, etc.) are regularly exchanged between different business entities.
Currently, this is managed through an application that:
* automates requests and approvals
* handles invoicing
* integrates with accounting systems
The current tool no longer meets business needs and must be fully redesigned and replaced.
Your role
This is more than a standard BA role — you will play a key role in redesigning an end-to-end process with financial impact.
* Analyze existing processes and applications (AS-IS)
* Design future-state solutions (TO-BE)
* Identify impacts, dependencies, and complexity
* Translate business needs into:
* functional & non-functional requirements
* user stories & acceptance criteria
* Define test cases and validation scenarios
* Facilitate workshops (refinement & requirements)
* Collaborate closely with Product Owner, stakeholders, and IT
* Contribute to the Business Case
* Support high-level solution design & planning
* Actively drive digitalization and self-service maturity
Profile
Must-have
* Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Analysis
* Proven experience with complex end-to-end processes
* Experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional methodologies
* Tools: Jira, Confluence, Miro, …
Key differentiators
* Experience in legacy system replacement / transformation programs
* Background in processes with financial impact (invoicing, intercompany, etc.)
* Experience in multi-stakeholder environments
* Ability to contribute beyond analysis (solution thinking & business case)
* Affinity with process optimization and digital transformation
Nice to have
* Experience with AI / Prompt Engineering
