Vwala is building the platform that will transform how European households manage their money. We’re looking for our first engineering hire, someone who wants to build something that matters, owns problems end-to-end and sees the opportunity in being early.

We founded Vwala in September 2025, secured angel funding and launched our first product in December 2025, starting with energy utility costs. The vision is a trusted platform across Europe that turns raw financial data into real savings, effectively reshaping how tens of millions of families think about money. As a Full-Stack and Founding Engineer, you’ll help shape Vwala from the ground up. You’ll work closely with Nick, our co-founder and CTO, to design, build and iterate on our technology platform end-to-end: backend, APIs, data pipelines, AI agents and the user-facing experiences that make people feel relief where they used to feel stress.
In an early-stage company, that means navigating ambiguity, making trade-offs with incomplete information and moving forward when things aren't fully defined.
As our first hire, your decisions and contributions will have a lasting impact on the product, the team and the culture we’re building. That's a lot of leverage, and it's why this role matters.
&##You’re fluent in modern Javascript / TypeScript frameworks such as React, Next, Fastify/Express, etc
You've seen scale and had exposure to architectural patterns of high-scale applications and can make infrastructure decisions that serve the business
You care about craft. Not just whether something works, but whether it feels right. You want to help shape not just the product, but the company and culture itself. You're in it for the ride. isn't a straight line, it's a roller coaster. That excites you more than it scares you
