Customs Compliance Specialist

We’re working with a global technology and manufacturing leader known for driving innovation in connectivity and networking solutions. They’re currently on the lookout for a Customs Compliance Specialist to support their growing trade compliance function. This is a hands-on role within a well-established compliance team, perfect for someone with a solid customs background who’s ready to take ownership of operational duties while contributing to EU-wide compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the first point of contact for import/export queries and manage relationships with customs brokers
* Maintain customs master data, including tariff classification and country of origin
* Request and manage long-term supplier declarations (both preferential and non-preferential)
* Create and analyse reports, identifying and escalating potential compliance risks
* Apply EU dual-use and export control regulations, including screening of business partners and classification of goods
* Support and deliver internal training on customs topics such as tariff codes and rules of origin
* Assist with the submission of CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) declarations
* Draft and maintain customs-related procedures and work instructions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and advise internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters
What We’re Looking For:
* A Bachelor’s degree in logistics, international trade, law, or similar
* Experience in customs, export control, or trade compliance
* Knowledge of EU customs formalities and regulations (ideally with EMEA scope)
* Familiarity with tariff codes, origin rules, and AEO processes is a plus
* Fluent in English
* Strong communicator, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple departments
