A leading international engineering and construction contractor is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to support the delivery of a large-scale Data Centre construction project in Belgium.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing project team delivering mission-critical infrastructure in one of Europe’s fastest-growing sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance are maintained throughout the construction lifecycle.
Working closely with project management teams, contractors, and client representatives, the EHS Advisor will help promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support safe project delivery in a complex construction environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior EHS Advisor
Support the implementation and management of the project Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management system in line with company policies, client requirements, and local Belgian safety regulations.
Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and project safety standards.
Promote a strong safety culture on site through safety briefings, toolbox talks, and engagement with site personnel and subcontractors.
Monitor high-risk activities including: lifting operations, working at height, confined space entry, heavy plant operations, mechanical and electrical installations.
Necessary Requirements of the Senior EHS Advisor
~ Degree or diploma in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
~ 3–7+ years’ experience working in an EHS / HSE role within construction, engineering, or industrial environments.
~ Data Centres, Pharmaceutical projects, Industrial or infrastructure projects, Mission-critical facilities.
