Job Title: Director of IT Infrastructure Management
The Director of IT Infrastructure Management will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our current and future IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of our Microsoft 365 environment, and leading all aspects of IT security, budgeting, document and project management. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Microsoft 365 Environment Management: Oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Budgeting: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient allocation of resources.
* IT Infrastructure Management: Follow up and keep track of systems, changes, issues and requests using our ITSM CMDB system.
* Security: Implement and maintain robust security protocols to protect company data and IT assets, including regular security audits and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Service Provider Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for external IT service providers, managing vendors, projects, performance and service delivery.
* Project Management: Lead and coordinate IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals and growth trajectory.
* Internal Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the IT department and across the organization, promoting transparency, collaboration and awareness around cyber security and compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Scientific Computing Support: Support Bioit, Cadd and Structural Biology groups planning maintenance, software packaging, setup, installations, support and troubleshooting of servers, workstations, software and license servers.
* Team Leadership: Supervise the System Administrator, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Cloud Management: Manage and support basic Amazon AWS or other cloud provider services, ensuring secure interaction with IT infrastructure.
* Document Management: Lead the introduction, administration and management of a document management system.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field - or equivalent by experience.
* Proven track record with IT management. Experience in the biotech or healthcare industry, including regulated environments is a plus.
* Any experience with Linux systems is a plus.
* Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, network and security practices.
* Basic experience with Amazon AWS or other cloud providers.
* Excellent budgeting and financial management skills.
* Experience in managing relationships with external service providers.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage IT projects.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.
