Lead Expert Digital & Tech – Plant & Automation
Location: Louvain-la-Neuve (BE04), Belgium
Overview
The role supports the ongoing transformation of the Louvain-la-Neuve factory facility and may include remote support for other European sites. Effective IT business partnering and customer service management are key to identifying, scoping, and planning transformational solutions and upgrades. Managing a matrixed organization will be essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support for defined factory solutions, ensure SLAs are met, support quarterly IT patching & SAP release weekends, and offer off‑hour escalation support as needed.
* Serve as primary local IS Plant contact for all regional, affiliate & domain level matters.
* Support/manage the D&T and IT/OT Factory project portfolios by shaping & capturing demands aligned with business stakeholders and priorities.
* Collaborate with other global P&A team members on maturing and delivering solution standards and technical expertise across common solutions & services at sites.
* Maintain ITIL standards around definition and management of IT/OT assets and keep asset inventories up to date.
* Contribute to the definition and enforcement of IT/OT architectural standards together with Engineering, IT Security & Infrastructure teams.
* Provide functional knowledge to support business objectives and propose and document value‑added IT solutions, anticipating problems and developing thoughtful & creative solutions.
* Act as an innovation partner with other IT and business teams for Industry 4.0 and other digital initiatives.
Qualifications
* Over 5 years of IT experience, including IT/OT support, operations, and light project work.
* Extensive experience in manufacturing environments, including factory OT and process/batch industries.
* Experience managing and delivering in a matrixed environment.
* Strong adaptability, effective communication skills, and the ability to act independently and be self‑directed in a high‑paced environment.
* Preferred experience with completed IT/OT factory projects requiring sound technical understanding, including ITEL tech; knowledge of MES, Warehousing, and DCS is a plus.
* Required knowledge of the Opcenter Execution Pharma (Siemens Suite).
* Potential to grow in role and assume more complex roles as part of career plan.
* Good English language skills; fluent French is required.
