Job Title: Cloud-Native Platform Technical Lead (Kubernetes / AWS)
Location: Zwijnaarde (Hybrid – min. 2 days onsite/week)
Contract: 6–12 months (B2B, renewable)

Rate: €400–450/day
Role Overview:
We are seeking a senior Cloud-Native Platform Technical Lead to drive the design, stability, and scalability of production-grade Kubernetes platforms within a modern AWS ecosystem. This role combines deep hands-on engineering with technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead production Kubernetes platform operations (availability, performance, resilience)
* Own platform reliability, security, and scalability across cloud-native environments
* Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional engineering teams
* Drive incident management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis (RCA)
* Establish and improve operational best practices and platform standards
* Create and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and onboarding guides
* Act as Technical Lead / Senior IC, mentoring engineers and guiding technical decisions
Technical Skills & Expertise:
* Strong hands-on Kubernetes (cluster operations, upgrades, patching, performance tuning)
* Experience with Rancher / RKE2 (provisioning, lifecycle management)
* Deep expertise in AWS: IAM, VPC, EC2, EKS, Load Balancers, Route 53, CloudWatch
* Advanced Linux administration (networking, storage, system hardening, automation)
* Kubernetes & cloud networking: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/certificates, ingress, routing, firewalls
* Observability & monitoring (metrics, logging, alerting)
* Incident response and root-cause analysis
* CI/CD pipelines using GitHub & GitHub Actions
Nice to Have:
* Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Crossplane, Puppet
* GitOps tools: Argo CD, Flux, Helm, Kustomize, Fleet
* Security tooling: image scanning, OPA/Gatekeeper/Kyverno, secrets management
* SRE practices: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, post-incident reviews
* Certifications: CKA / CKAD / CKS, AWS
Working Model:
