In Five Years is a recruitment startup operating at the heart of the tech scale-up ecosystem. We partner with fast-growing tech companies that have found product-market fit, operate scalable business models, and are building their future from Belgium.
We help these companies hire entrepreneurial talent across Engineering, Product and Go-To-Market functions.
The opportunity
This role is for someone entrepreneurial at heart. Someone who understands that hiring in scale-ups cannot be done with shortcuts, and who wants to help build a more sustainable way of scaling teams.
As a (Senior) Talent Partner, you will operate at the intersection of recruitment, business development and company building. You'll work closely with founders and leadership teams of tech scale-ups, while simultaneously strengthening In Five Years as a business.
The role is split across two main pillars: Recruitment and Business Development.
1. Recruitment & talent partnership
As a Talent Partner, you take full ownership of recruitment trajectories for tech scale-ups.
* You build and grow your own network of entrepreneurial talent on top of In Five Years' existing ecosystem. Scouting is part of your day-to-day work, using both your personal network and our scouting engine.
* You manage long-term relationships with tech scale-ups and act as a trusted partner in their hiring decisions.
* You co-design recruitment processes together with clients, helping them build the right governance to hire top-notch talent. We believe in seeing people in action, and you will actively challenge clients to move beyond CV-and-interview-driven hiring.
* You continuously deepen your understanding of what it takes to build successful digital products and scalable businesses, and which skills matter most across Engineering, Product and GTM.
* You think and act like an entrepreneur: spotting opportunities, improving how we work, and strengthening In Five Years as a resilient and anti-fragile business.
2. Business development & ecosystem building
Beyond recruitment, you actively contribute to growing In Five Years as a company.
* You co-lead the development of new relationships with tech scale-ups in our ecosystem.
* You identify organizations with strong value propositions and proven product-market fit and engage them as potential partners.
* You help close new partnerships and represent In Five Years externally, acting as a spokesperson in conversations with founders, leaders and ecosystem partners.
* You contribute ideas and initiatives that support our long-term ambition to combine services with scalable HR tech products.
Who we're looking for
* You have 2 to 10 years of experience, ideally in an HR / recruitment / sales capacity
* You want to co-build a company, not just perform a role.
* You have experience working with or within tech scale-ups / agencies and understand their talent needs at different stages of growth.
* You see recruitment as a strategic, long-term lever, not a transactional process.
* You are entrepreneurial, autonomous and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
* You enjoy building relationships, challenging assumptions and thinking in systems.
* You are fluent / native in Dutch. Any other languages are an asset.
