Daikin Europe is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer in Ghent.
Responsibilities
* Embedded software development
* Hardware development
* Cloud and App development
* Formulate software and user interface specifications, in line with stakeholder requirements (business, quality, product development, own improvements, etc.)
* Communicate the requirements for the development and testing of the software to external partners
* Take ownership of development tracks at software suppliers; correctly prioritize and follow up developments with the product owner to ensure deliverables meet requirements and standards
* As a technical expert on the products you develop, assist the team with support, analyse issues, propose countermeasures and ensure they are implemented with the correct priority
* Follow technological evolutions within your field of expertise and formulate proposals to include them in our developments
* Coordinate on technical level a team of junior embedded software engineers
* You feel a strong match with the Daikin Vision and want to work on innovative products to fight climate change
* Maintain a strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality embedded solutions
Qualifications
* Master’s Degree in Electronics or ICT or related
* Interest in embedded software development
* Experience working technically on embedded hardware/software
* Strong team player with the ability to think conceptually and find solutions for technical requirements
* Strong communicator
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change
* Strives for consensus between stakeholders
* Innovative mindset
