Your new role As a Senior AI Engineer & Agentic Developer, you will take on a highly technical and hands‑on role focused on building production‑ready AI solutions that are scalable, secure, and compliant. You will operate at the intersection of AIOps/MLOps engineering and agentic solution development, enabling the organization to evolve from experimentation toward stable, enterprise‑grade AI delivery. Your responsibilities include: Coaching Data Scientists to transform experimental models into production‑grade components, ensuring proper packaging, reproducibility, and CI/CD integration. Designing and building data pipelines and inference pipelines that support reliable and scalable model operations. Implementing MLOps best practices, including containerization, experiment tracking, model registry use, rollout and rollback mechanisms, and comprehensive observability. Ensuring compliance‑by‑design in close collaboration with security, risk, and compliance teams, including alignment with regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Act. Taking the technical lead in agentic development using platforms such as Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio. Integrating AI agents with internal systems through function calling, retrieval—augmented generation, and orchestration workflows. Establishing evaluation frameworks Applying orchestration patterns such as planning, retries, and fallbacks, while maintaining strong guardrails for selective autonomy and human‑in‑the‑loop oversight. Working in an agile team environment while managing the technical backlog, documenting solutions through runbooks and technical documentation, and coordinating with internal partners and external vendors to ensure alignment with the target architecture. This assignment begins as soon as possible, requires the use of your own device, and is set for an initial period of twelve months with the possibility of extension. Your profile You are a hands‑on Senior AI/MLOps Engineer with strong Python skills and a proven ability to bring AI solutions into secure, scalable, and production‑ready environments. You combine deep technical engineering expertise with innovation, practical problem-solving, and the ability to guide and coach others.Your profile includes: A strong background in AI engineering, MLOps, and production‑grade machine learning. Expertise in key AIOps/MLOps tooling such as Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform). Experience with Azure ML, Azure OpenAI/AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, and modern cloud‑native AI stacks. Solid understanding of security and governance principles including RBAC, identity management, secrets handling, network segmentation, and privacy‑aware engineering. Practical experience with agentic development, orchestration patterns, function calling, and retrieval‑augmented generation. A coaching mindset, with the ability to support Data Scientists and engineering teams in maturing their delivery practices. A pragmatic, ownership‑driven, results‑oriented approach to solving complex technical challenges. Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken. A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
