For one of its key clients located in Liège (Belgium), we are actively looking for : Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsabilities
As part of the Engineering Department, you will contribute to the design and development of precision mechanical components used in armament applications. You will work in a demanding industrial context, complying with strict technical, safety, and confidentiality requirements.
Key responsibilities
* Produce detailed technical drawings for mechanical parts and assemblies
* Apply and manage tolerance stack-ups and ISO-GPS tolerancing principles
* Design and model components using 3D CAD tools
* Collaborate closely with production, quality, and methods teams
* Integrate technical, regulatory, and safety constraints specific to the defense sector
* Ensure proper technical documentation and traceability
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing designs and processes
* Progressively evolve toward broader design and product development responsibilities
Profile
* You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification
* You ideally have 5 years of experience in a demanding industrial environment (defense, aerospace, aeronautics, etc.)
* You are proficient in 3D CAD software, preferably Creo, or willing to be trained on it
* You demonstrate strong expertise in mechanical design, including tolerance analysis, technical drawings, and ISO-GPS standards
* You are autonomous, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a strong team spirit
* You are fluent in French and/or English and able to work in a confidential, highly regulated environment
