Job Description

Context of the Mission

The Business Solutions department within Broker Channel and Non-Life Developments is responsible for designing and delivering the most appropriate solutions to support business entities such as marketing, sales, and operations. The department plays a key role in translating business needs into clear requirements, steering solution delivery with IT, and ensuring smooth adoption across the organization.

Its core activities include project management, solution ideation and design, requirements gathering, driving delivery by the IT department, testing, implementation support, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Objective of the Role

This mission focuses on supporting the inception team of a major Claims Transformation Program. The primary goal is to define, for each project or track, the high-level business objectives and the added value that will be delivered to Claims Operations, Brokers, and clients, ensuring alignment with strategic and tactical ambitions.

The role includes conceptualizing high-level business and functional processes, optimizing them compared to the current situation, and contributing to the high-level architecture in close collaboration with IT architects. The mission also involves structuring an initial feature backlog that will enable IT teams to begin detailed requirements analysis and implementation.

A strong understanding of the Belgian Claims insurance market and of case management technologies is required to propose a competitive and future-proof target state.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Personal Skills (Mandatory)

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical and conceptual abilities, learns quickly, communicates clearly, and is well-organized with solid priority-management skills. A critical mindset is expected, combined with a strong client-oriented approach. The candidate must be able to organize their own workload, work independently, and provide regular reporting to their manager. Assertiveness and a proactive, driving attitude are essential.

Business Experience (Mandatory and Preferable)

A minimum of five to eight years of experience in Non-Life Insurance Claims processes is required. Experience in digital environments is considered an asset.

Technical Experience (Mandatory and Preferable)

The role requires strong mastery of Microsoft Office tools and Visio or other BPM tools, with a senior level of expertise (5–8 years). Experience with case management tools or off-the-shelf claims software is a strong advantage.

Functional Experience (Mandatory)

The candidate must have senior-level experience (5–8 years) in Business Analysis, BPMN and CMMN, and Business Architecture.
