Hydraulic Engineer
in our HYDRO team, you become part of a group that studies waves, currents, seabeds and coastal environments to support some of the most exciting dredging and coastal protection projects across the world.

Your Responsibilities
* Build and run
hydrodynamic and morphodynamic models
to support tenders, projects and R&D
* Analyse
wave climate, flow behaviour, sediment transport and coastline development
* Perform
CFD studies
for applications such as fluid/wave-structure interaction, pipeline flows, scour and vessel motions
* Interpret
metocean datasets
for engineering design and project planning
* Develop
nature-based and sustainable hydraulic design solutions
* Contribute to innovative working methods and design approaches
* Translate your findings into clear reports and practical guidance for tender and project teams
* Collaborate with colleagues across engineering disciplines and follow up external consultants when needed
* Join project teams abroad for short missions when required
You will be based at our head office in Zwijndrecht, working in close connection with senior specialists and a multidisciplinary engineering community.
Your Profile
* BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering
, ideally in coastal, hydraulic or marine engineering
* Interest or experience in
hydrodynamic, coastal and/or CFD modelling
* (e.g. SWAN, SWASH, Delft3D, XBeach, OpenFOAM, STAR-CCM+)
* Programming skills in
Matlab and/or Python
* Experience with tools like
ParaView
is a plus
* Analytical mindset, curiosity and a critical attitude towards results
* Creative, open-minded, proactive and a strong team player
* Fluent in
Dutch and English
* Eager to keep learning, improving and taking ownership of your development
