BMonkeys is looking for a Transformation Project Manager (freelancer) to support a major actor in the insurance sector in Brussels.
1/ CONTEXT
Our client is a major player in the insurance sector in Belgium, active across the full insurance value chain, including distribution, policy management, claims handling and related services.
As part of a broader transformation agenda, the organization is running a "Shape & Design Transformation" program aimed at structuring, designing and delivering target solutions in line with its internal Transformation Framework, in close collaboration with IT teams, architects and business stakeholders.
The role sits at the heart of this transformation and carries end-to-end ownership of a complex change initiative, with strong expectations around structure, governance and stakeholder alignment.
2/ ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Transformation Project Manager, you are accountable for the full lifecycle of the project, from shaping and design through to delivery and closure.
a) Program ownership & delivery
* Take responsibility for the Shape & Design phase, ensuring:
* accurate scoping,
* slicing & dicing into EPICs,
* definition of a detailed project plan, in collaboration with architects and IT delivery teams.
* Synchronize with all architects to ensure a shared understanding and consistent implementation of the target solution.
* Ensure high-quality execution and project success in line with OTOBOSOQ principles, together with delivery teams.
b) End-to-end project management & governance
* Own the project from A to Z, orchestrating and documenting all project activities in line with the Transformation Framework, including:
* scope management,
* budget management,
* project team and capacity management,
* risk & opportunity management,
* dependency management,
* roadmap definition and follow-up,
* project governance,
* stakeholder management,
* quarterly reviews,
* delivery of project outputs, KPIs and a detailed business case.
* Ensure clear, structured and continuous communication toward all stakeholders.
c) Change & process orientation
* Play an active role in change management, with or without the support of a dedicated change manager, to drive adoption and alignment with the business.
* Contribute, when relevant, to process engineering activities to support transformation and operational improvements.
d) Project closure
* Lead the project closing phase, ensuring that:
* all deliverables are completed,
* the business is properly set up to take over and ensure follow-up after project completion.
3/ PROFILE
a) Experience & competencies
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in complex transformation environments.
* Background in the financial services / insurance sector.
* Experience or strong interest in process engineering.
* Ability to operate in multi-stakeholder environments (IT, architects, business).
* Strong capabilities in: program and project governance, structuring and documentation, stakeholder communication and alignment.
b) Seniority
* Medior level
* Expected experience:
* Project Management: ~5 years
* Process Engineering: ~4 years (strong asset)
