To strengthen our analysis capabilities, we are looking for a Senior Business & Functional Analyst who can translate business needs into clear, high‑quality functional solutions, guide stakeholders, and coach junior analysts. With your strong analytical mindset, communication skills, and structured way of working, you help build future‑proof solutions that support Ypto’s mission.
Responsibilities
* Capture business (client) requirements and prioritize these (MoSCoW or WSJF).
* Describe and analyze business processes (BPMN or similar) and propose improvements.
* Lead business requirements workshops in an agile environment.
* Communicate clearly and concisely across different channels.
* Coach junior analysts and support their development.
* Lead a small team of analysts (onshore and offshore).
* Translate business requirements into functional requirements with clear acceptance criteria.
* Define functional specifications for both front‑end and middle‑layer components.
* Ensure quality assurance by conducting tests and validations.
* Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
* Collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams.
Requirements
* Degree in Computer Science or similar field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business or Functional Analyst.
* Fluent in English and either Dutch or French (good understanding of the other language).
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Experience with business process and systems analysis.
* Ability to challenge and validate requirements in a constructive, critical manner.
* Experience drafting functional specifications and defining requirements.
* Strong knowledge of BPMN and/or UML.
* Based in Brussels as an internal employee.
Additional qualifications
* Experience with agile methodologies.
* Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
* Experience using data to support decisions and problem‑solving.
* Affinity with real estate, building management applications, IWMS, or Energy Management Systems.
