Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an IFRS Specialist, based in Mechelen, Belgium.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards by preparing and reviewing financial statements, conducting complex accounting analyses, and providing expert advice on IFRS-related matters. Additional duties include collaborating with financial teams to implement IFRS guidelines and supporting audits through accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting;
* Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) and advanced accounting skills;
* Experience in financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and compliance requirements;
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills;
* Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment;
* Proficiency in financial systems and tools; prior experience with ERP systems is a plus;
* Ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment with flexibility to work both on-site and at home;
* Previous experience in the healthcare, diagnostics, or biopharmaceutical industry is advantageous;
* Solid English & Dutch language skills are required.
