Systems Engineer Team Leader (m/w/d)

Your Mission
1. Lead multidisciplinary Systems Engineering (SE) activities across Requirements & Verification, Interface Definition & ConOps functions.
2. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to SE teams supporting complex aerospace and defense programs.
3. Lead major technical reviews including SRR, SFR, PDR, and CDR, ensuring deliverables meet program and customer requirements.
4. Manage system architecture, interface control, requirements development, verification & validation, and technical trade studies for custom hardware/software systems.
5. Oversee risk and opportunity management, maintaining mitigation plans and status reporting to program leadership.
6. Support proposal development, Basis of Estimate (BOE) activities, cost estimating, and schedule forecasting.
7. Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies using Cameo or similar tools.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and lessons learned activities.
What We Are Looking For
9. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related STEM field with 10+ years of relevant aerospace/defense experience; or Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience.
10. Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, management, system architecture, interface control, verification & validation, and technical review leadership.
11. Experience leading engineering teams on complex defense or aerospace programs.
12. involving custom hardware and/or software systems.
13. Proficiency with Polarion and MBSE tools such as CAPELLA.
14. Experience with EVM, technical risk management, and trade study analysis.
