THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated climate risk data analyst to join our team. Gathering climate risk related data is one of the main data challenges for banks in the years to come. In front of booming regulatory requirements and market pressure, banks need to gather, store and aggregate new sustainability metrics (overcoming data availability issues) and design a new set of methodologies and proxies to deal with the uneven quality of those metrics.
The ideal candidate will combine strong data analytical skills with understanding of climate risk concepts and regulatory reporting solutions. As a hands-on data manager, he will be able to implement solutions that not only meet data quality standards but, most of all, business requirements that are meaningful for Climate risk managers.
Responsibilities
* You participate to or lead engagements of our Risk Advisory practice for our banking clients to help them implement Climate risk reporting solutions and underlying data infrastructure.
* You participate to or lead climate risk engagements for our banking clients.
* You assist our clients in the processing and reporting of climate risk related reports: from data collection, enrichment of sustainability metrics and proxies, calculations and reporting.
* You analyze a complex and changing set of regulation to advise banks on how to consistently measure and report on their climate impact.
* Your role will cover a wide range of responsibilities such as conducting workshops with business users, gathering business requirements, defining both functional & technical requirements. You will also guide and support the needed IT-testing.
* Your design a conceptual data model to store sustainability metrics (Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, geolocations) at the right level of granularity.
* You are able to deep dive into details and investigate reconciliation issues with other reporting systems, such as accounting systems or other source systems.
* You advise our clients on how to implement data governance policies and procedures.
* You develop and maintain documentation for all data-related processes, including data lineage, data dictionary, data quality, in order to comply with BCBS 239 standards.
MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS
* You have an MA or MSc in management sciences, applied economics or computer sciences.
* You have at least 2-4 years of experience in financial institutions with a strong understanding of banking business, climate risk, financial products and how data and regulatory reporting processes interact.
* You have outstanding analytical skills.
* You are proficient in SQL, SAS or Python or other programming languages.
* You are familiar with BCBS 239 and its requirements for data governance, data quality, and risk management.
* You are able to work autonomously in a result-oriented environment.
* Good communication, writing and presentation skills with the ability to explain sophisticated issues in a simple but professional way.
* You are fluent in English (both verbal and written).
NICE TO HAVE
* Knowledge of European risk regulation related to climate risk (Taxonomy, CSRD, Pillar III, STE etc.) or overall knowledge of the prudential regulatory framework (FINREP, CRR2, CRR3, Basel IV).
* First-hand experience with Agile ways of working is a plus.

RESPONSABILITÉS

* Votre rôle couvrira un large éventail de responsabilités telles que l\'animation d\'ateliers avec les métiers, la collecte des besoins, la définition des exigences fonctionnelles et techniques. Vous assurerez également le suivi et le support des phases de tests informatiques nécessaires.
* Vous concevez un modèle de données conceptuel pour stocker les indicateurs de durabilité (émissions de Scope 1, 2 et 3, géolocalisation) avec le niveau de granularité approprié.
* Vous êtes capable d\'approfondir les détails techniques et d\'analyser les écarts de réconciliation avec d\'autres systèmes de reporting, tels que les systèmes comptables ou autres systèmes sources.
* Vous conseillez nos clients sur la mise en œuvre de politiques et de procédures de gouvernance des données.
* Vous développez et maintenez une documentation complète sur l\'ensemble des processus liés aux données, incluant la traçabilité des données (data lineage), le dictionnaire de données, la qualité des données, afin d\'être conforme aux normes BCBS 239.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES
* Vous êtes titulaire d\'un Master en sciences de gestion, en économie appliquée ou en informatique.
* Vous disposez d\'au moins 2 à 4 ans d\'expérience au sein d\'institutions financières, avec une solide compréhension du secteur bancaire, des risques climatiques, des produits financiers et des processus de reporting réglementaire.
* Vous possédez d\'excellentes compétences analytiques.
* Vous maîtrisez SQL, SAS, Python ou d\'autres langages de programmation.
* Vous êtes familier avec la norme BCBS 239 et ses exigences en matière de gouvernance des données, de qualité des données et de gestion des risques.
* Vous pouvez travailler de manière autonome dans un environnement orienté résultats.
* Vous avez de bonnes compétences en communication, en rédaction et en présentation, avec la capacité d\'expliquer des sujets complexes de manière simple mais professionnelle.
* Vous parlez couramment l\'anglais, tant à l\'oral qu\'à l\'écrit.
