Business Controller – Ghent, Belgium
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Business Controller to strengthen our Finance team within a dynamic, technology-driven environment based in the Ghent Region.
In this role, you will act as a key financial partner to senior management and cross-functional teams, supporting strategic decision-making through robust analysis, accurate reporting, and forward-looking insights.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
* Develop and maintain management reporting and KPI dashboards
* Analyze financial and operational performance, including revenue, margins, and cost structures
* Provide actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making
* Perform scenario and profitability analyses to support business initiatives
* Monitor performance against targets and explain variances
* Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement of financial reporting
* Support digitalization and automation initiatives within the finance function
* Ensure data integrity across ERP and reporting systems
Profile Requirements:
* Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent
* Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in controlling, FP&A, or financial analysis
* Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
* Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar BI tools is required
* Experience with ERP systems
* Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
