Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Master Data Migration Specialist to support superusers in the end‑to‑end migration of business‑critical master data from SAP ECC and other source systems to SAP S/4HANA and selected non‑ERP applications.
The role focuses on coordinating, training, and guiding business users through data mapping, cleansing, transformation, loading, and validation, ensuring high data quality and integrity. The specialist represents the business perspective of Sigma and works closely with Data Owners, Functional Leads, IT, system integrators, and global/local teams to ensure readiness for testing, cutover, go‑live, and post‑go‑live.
Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Governance
* Execute the data migration strategy, planning, timelines, mock cycles, and cutover activities.
* Ensure compliance with global data standards, naming conventions, and quality rules.
* Track migration scope and progress per object and plant.
Mapping, Transformation & ETL
* Define and validate mapping and transformation rules from legacy systems to S/4HANA and non‑ERP targets.
* Align transformation logic with business processes and functional designs.
Data Quality, Cleansing & Validation
* Identify and resolve data quality issues (duplicates, gaps, inconsistencies).
* Support and train superusers on validation, reconciliation, and defect analysis.
* Ensure data readiness for testing and cutover sign‑off.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Functional Leads across Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality.
* Collaborate with technical teams and integrators on load templates, rules, and programs.
* Support mock planning and integration testing.
Profile Requirements
Experience
* Strong experience in data migration for ERP implementations (preferably SAP S/4HANA).
* Solid understanding of manufacturing‑related master data and legacy systems.
* Experience as a migration consultant bridging business and technical teams.
* International or multi‑site project experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
* Experience with SAP migration tools (LSMW, Syniti, or similar).
* Good knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
* Strong analytical skills in data profiling, validation, and reconciliation.
Soft Skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Hands‑on, structured, and detail‑oriented.
* Comfortable working under pressure in a global environment.
Practical Information
* Full‑time, start ASAP
* Duration: until 31 December (extension possible)
* Location: 3 days/week on site in Ghent
* Travel may be required
* Languages: Dutch, French, English (fluent in at least two, including English)
