Rust Developer
We're looking for a Rust Developer to help modernize the software platform that manages transportation and safety in Belgium. This is a large-scale and meaningful project: your work will directly impact the safe operation of vehicles across the country.
What you'll do
* Develop new features while also supporting existing modules.
* Write precise and reliable code – safety is critical.
* Contribute to the technical design and implementation of the system.
* Create clear documentation so colleagues can easily follow your work.
* Depending on your experience, take on a lead role in design choices, tools, and methodologies.
Tech stack you'll work with
* Rust (strong programming skills required)
* Qt (you're an expert or ready to become one)
* Linux (basic knowledge for development & debugging)
* GIT (version control)
* Nice-to-have: Java and/or Python
Who you are
* You speak Dutch or French, plus English.
* At least 5y experience as a developer
* You're precise and structured – safety matters.
* A good communicator and strong team player.
* Proactive: you don't just code, you think along and bring ideas.
