Your new role
As our new Analyst you will have the opportunity to work directly with EU institutions and stakeholders to drive public policy change, while developing your expertise and consulting skills.
Your key responsibilities will be:
1. Working on proposals and projects contributing to EU policy making, such as evaluations, impact assessments, policy studies, comparative studies and benchmarking, cost and benefit analyses, feasibility studies.
2. Conducting desk research, interviews, surveys, qualitative and quantitative analysis and data processing.
3. Supporting the drafting of reports and presentations for our clients.
4. Undertaking administrative tasks.
The internship lasts for six months and can start on either 1 September or 1 October 2025. It is offered under an apprentice contract as part of the Belgian professional induction programme (CIP), which is the main entry point for recruiting young professionals at Ramboll Management Consulting Belgium.

You will be part of Ramboll Management Consulting in Belgium, a dynamic and growing organisation with professional drive and a strong collaborative spirit. Based in Brussels, our multidisciplinary team is at the forefront of international sustainability and resilience efforts. We work primarily for the European Institutions and other public sector actors across various policy domains including Environment, Climate, Energy, Water, Transport, Infrastructure, Buildings, Sustainable Cities, and Just Transition. We work on projects that combine strategy and policy advice with deep technical expertise. The working language of the team is English.

These include:
5. A master’s degree (completed before the internship commence) in economics, political sciences, environmental sciences, sustainability studies or a related discipline.
6. Keen interest or experience in one or more of the following areas: climate, energy, transport, environment, just transition and resilience, competitiveness and industry.
7. Strong interpersonal, analytical and drafting skills.
8. Expertise in advanced techniques for analysis of qualitative or quantitative data, including modelling, is seen as an advantage.
9. Proven ability to present data and communicate findings in a clear and compelling well, tailored to the intended audience.
10. Capacity to approach complex problems in a structured way.
11. An excellent command of the English language, both written and oral, and ideally fluent in at least one more EU language.
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include having an independent, pro-active personality, an interdisciplinary mindset, good communication skills, a strong team spirit, and a genuine interest and commitment towards sustainability topics. You should also be organised, pay attention to detail, be able to communicate complex issues in a simple way both in writing and verbally, and be able to handle multiple priorities and a varied workload.
