As a
Project Engineer CAPEX,
you play a key role in the delivery of capital investments and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the performance of the global production network. You design and implement robust, safe and cost‑effective engineering solutions, fully compliant with food industry regulations and Group standards.
Working closely with local operations, you act as a bridge between business needs and engineering solutions. Through cross-site collaboration and structured knowledge sharing, you actively contribute to the continuous enhancement of engineering capabilities across the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and execute
CAPEX and improvement projects
from feasibility and concept development through engineering, commissioning and handover.
Contribute to
feasibility studies, cost estimates and basic engineering, including layouts, P&IDs, equipment lists, utility loads, ATEX zoning and HAZOP analyses.
Ensure full compliance with
Group engineering standards ,
HSE requirements ,
ESG principles
and relevant
food industry regulations .
Support procurement activities by preparing
RFQs, reviewing and evaluating technical bids, and collaborating with
Group CAPEX Purchasing .
Coordinate suppliers, contractors and engineering partners during
detailed design, FAT/SAT, installation and start‑up
phases.
Provide
on-site support
during critical project milestones and ensure a smooth transition to local operational teams.
Coach and support local teams through
technical guidance, troubleshooting and sharing best practices
across sites.
Build and disseminate
technology expertise
by following market innovations and collaborating with
R&D
to drive continuous improvement.
Profile required:
Master’s degree in Engineering (Bioscience, Food Technology, Life Sciences, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical or equivalent).
5–10 years of experience
in engineering roles, ideally within the
food and beverage industry .
Proven experience with
aseptic processing, fermentation and CIP systems .
Solid exposure to
liquid and powder processing
technologies, including mixing, separation, heat transfer, conveying, drying and packaging.
Fluency in
English ; additional languages are a strong asset.
Willingness to travel internationally (approximately
30% ).
Technical Expertise (Desired):
Broad engineering knowledge with strong capabilities in several of the following domains and willingness to further develop others:
Plant utilities and building services : process water, cooling, electricity, compressed air, steam, wastewater treatment, HVAC.
Ability to
read and develop P&IDs .
Familiarity with
Siemens automation systems
(Simatic Batch, PCS7).
Understanding of
project management methodologies
and the full project lifecycle.
Basic
financial literacy, including P&L, cash flow, cost of capital, IRR, NPV and payback.
