The PositionAs part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for an Energetic Materials Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects located in the Liège area, within the Defence sector.As an Energetic Materials Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:Develop and improve rocket motor, warhead and fuze pyrotechnic products from concept to production, from an energetic and inert material point of viewWork closely with customers to understand their needs and requirements, and develop product specifications accordinglySpecify energetic and inert materials requirements to suppliers and manage their development, production and quality controlConduct testing and evaluation of energetic and inert materials products, both in-house and at external test facilitiesEvaluate final product's overall performance, reliability and safetyDevelop and maintain pyrotechnic-related documentation such as FMECA, safety and reliability analysesSupport production of in-service pyrotechnic products, including resolving quality issues and developing improvementsParticipate in technical reviews (design reviews, engineering change boards and failure investigations)Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design processStay current with industry trends and technological advancements related to energetic materials
Your ProfileBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Energetic Materials, Chemistry, Mechanics, Physics or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of practical experience in energetic materialsKnowledge of energetic materials, chemical reactions, mechanical design and manufacturing processesExperience with full lifecycle product development (design, development, prototype testing, manufacturing and implementation)Strong project management and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations related to energetic and aerospace materialsLanguage(s): French and English
