Company manages more than 325 wastewater treatment plants, nearly 2,025 wastewater pumping stations, and more than 7,085 km of sewers in Flanders.
Sludge is one of the by-products remaining after the purification process—a valuable substance! Because when sludge is dried, you have a product that can be fully utilized as a green energy source and raw material. In a two-shift system, you and your colleagues from the Roeselare Dryer team ensure the high-quality and reliable operation of the new, innovative Belt Dryer, where the sludge is dried and pressed into pellets. This involves a number of process-controlled machines such as condensers, the MBR, bucket lift, pellet press, etc. In this way, you not only work on clean water, but you also contribute to the reuse of raw materials and the production of green energy.
About the Position
First and foremost, you will assist with the start-up of the new belt dryer in Roeselare. You will help with the process operation of the sludge processing and dryer. After the start-up of the belt dryer, you will conduct a walk-through, take samples, check measurements, and adjust process parameters where necessary. Thanks to your good knowledge of electromechanics, you will identify electrical and mechanical faults on the one hand, and ensure preventive maintenance on the other. To properly monitor everything in the process, you will handle the administrative follow-up and necessary reporting. During the start-up, you will receive joint training covering theory and practice. You will primarily work in 2 shifts for 3 months. Your daily rate includes working in day shifts.
Requirements:
Good knowledge of electromechanics and electricity. Ability to monitor, operate, and intervene as an operator where necessary.
Ability to work independently and responsibly.
Working in a 2-shift system: (early, late, and possibly day)
You are proficient with Microsoft 365 apps and also handle administrative tasks.
