Working in the Fiber to the Home Build team:
The FttH Build team owns the end-to-end delivery of Connectable Premises. Our scope covers the planning and forecasting of the FttH roll out roadmap on strategic and tactical level, assuring network design, allocating the correct Partners to the Build out of the network, and following up of the network construction and delivery within budget and time, respecting the engineering design rules to assure qualitative delivery. We as a team also focus on a strong relationship with municipalities to minimize delay on the rollout plan.
Your role as Team Manager FttH Design Management & Network Essentials
As Team Manager, you will collaborate closely with the other four (people) leaders within the FttH Build team while overseeing your own team members and their delivery partners to achieve set targets. You will be responsible for building a solid team whilst managing dependencies across both internal and external Wyre stakeholders, ensuring that the FttH Build objectives are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
Your key responsibilities:
* Design Lifecycle Coordination:
You orchestrate the design process by translating FttH area requirements into HLD's and validating LLD's (high and low level designs) against engineering standards.
* FttH Network Essentials Steering:
You translate annual Network Essentials targets (build/upgrades) into concrete work packages, transferring them to partners
and overseeing their timely execution.
* Design Partner Supervision:
You act as operational point of contact for design partners, ensuring their output meets constructability requirements, quality standards & volume targets.
* Team Leadership & Development:
You coach and develop a team of specialists, delivering quality; you foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
* Budget & Timeline Control:
You tack design & network essentials budgets and delivery schedules on a monthly basis, ensuring alignment with the broader FttH rollout roadmap.
* Technical Quality Validation:
You supervise the technical validation process of design deliverables to prevent costly changes during the physical construction phase.
* Performance Reporting:
You compile and present detailed monthly reports on design maturity, Network Essentials progress and financial actuals vs. forecasts to the Build management team
Our ideal candidate has:
* Process-Oriented Mindset: The ability to follow & enforce strict validation procedures and to ensure "first-time-right" design data.
* Data & Financial Discipline: Strong analytical skills for budget tracking, variance analysis, & accurate reporting on project status.
* Leadership: You have proven experience in people management, strong leadership and organizational skills to steer a team.
* Partner Performance Monitoring: You have experience in tracking & driving the operational performance of external contractors or design bureaus against KPIs.
* Operational Project Management: Ability to steer leads & designers in coordinating multiple design projects simultaneously with strict adherence to deadlines.
* Collaborative Problem Solving: Proactive approach to resolving technical blockages between internal engineering teams & external design partners.
* Ftth Design Insights is a plus: Solid technical insights of Fiber-to-the-Home network topology, GIS systems & civil engineering design principles (HLD/LLD).
* Languages: You are fluent in Dutch and English.
