Ph3Overview /h3 pICF is a leading provider of science‑based climate, environmental and energy advisory services to private and public sector clients across the globe. We help our clients progress on their transformation journey, from understanding this rapidly evolving landscape to designing and implementing impactful strategies and action plans all the way to their evaluation. /p pTo support the continued growth of our Sustainable Finance, Climate and Biodiversity Policy practice, we are looking for a Consultant to join our team in Brussels, Spain or London. The successful candidate will work on flagship projects such as the Innovation Fund, climate diplomacy studies, and the transformation of our society toward a net‑zero, nature‑positive and socially just model. Your work will benefit clients such as the European Commission, national governments, and international and national development finance institutions. /p h3Key Flagship Projects /h3 ul liProviding continuous expertise since 2019 to support the successful implementation of the EU Emissions Trading System’s Innovation Fund /li liSupporting the design of decarbonisation strategies and transition pathways at EU and national level /li liSupporting the development of a long‑term research and innovation agenda toward 2050 climate neutrality (see report here) /li liDesigning Sustainable Finance Action Plans for different EU Member States (e.g. Poland, Italy) to redirect public and private capital toward the low‑carbon transition /li liDelivering the European Business and Biodiversity Platform since 2013 for the European Commission /li liEvaluating the impact of green bonds on supporting climate mitigation investments for the European Investment Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction Development /li liSupporting National Promotional Banks in Poland and Spain with their sustainable finance strategies /li /ul h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport the delivery of projects for public and private clients /li liSupport the deployment of discrete tasks and activities /li liProvide robust and sound qualitative and quantitative analysis and support the translation of complex data into meaningful and impactful recommendations /li liEngage with stakeholders through both quantitative and qualitative surveys /li liSupport ICF’s thought leadership in climate policy, identifying emerging trends and opportunities and help translate these into new service offers that will benefit clients /li /ul h3Required Qualifications Skills /h3 ul liFluency in spoken English and excellent writing skills /li liMaster’s degree in climate or environmental sciences, environmental economics, environmental engineering, political sciences, or a related discipline /li liProfessional working experience of 2‑4 years in the field of climate policy at EU level, with an excellent understanding of the latest policy developments (e.g. Net Zero Industry Act; Climate Law; EU ETS; etc.). /li liStrong qualitative and quantitative analysis capability, including advanced knowledge of Excel and equivalent tools /li liProven communication skills and track record in the field of stakeholder engagement, especially within public authorities and the business and finance community /li liAbility to work independently as well as within multi‑cultural, multi‑disciplinary consulting teams spread across several countries and time zones /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications Skills /h3 ul liFluency in a second EU language /li liEntrepreneurial mindset eager to innovate and develop new solutions to address the climate and environmental crises /li /ul h3Right to Work, Location Sponsorship (UK) /h3 ul liHave the legal right to work in the UK (or be eligible for sponsorship where applicable on a case‑by‑case basis); and /li liBe physically located in the UK on Day 1 of employment (or shortly before your start date). /li /ul h3The Benefits of Joining ICF /h3 ul liSingle Private Medical Insurance cover with no restrictions on existing conditions. /li liDental insurance and an online GP service. /li li25 days annual leave, plus UK bank holidays (annual leave increases with years of service). /li liPension scheme with 5% of salary employer contribution. /li liLife assurance paying 4× annual salary and Group Income Protection paying 66% of salary for up to 5 years if you are off work on long‑term sick. /li liEnhanced parental leave policies, enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental pay. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
