Your day to dayPeopleLead and develop your team: Manage daily sales activities, ensure proper staffing, and provide coaching, feedback, and training to help colleagues meet and exceed revenue goals. Address HR-related actions as needed.Foster a positive environment: Drive teamwork and connect departments.Build relationships: Interact with guests, vendors, and key clients to enhance revenue.Achieve sales targets: Meet personal and team sales goals, maximize profitability, and contribute to departmental budgets and financial plans.Drive revenue growth: Create and implement sales plans to boost occupancy, average rates, and food and beverage sales.Analyze and adapt: Produce monthly reports and forecasts to monitor performance, identify trends, and coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share.Promote the hotel: Develop special events and attend trade shows to attract new business and increase sales and marketing opportunities.Guest ExperienceEnhance guest satisfaction: Provide information on loyalty programs, local attractions, and hotel facilities.Coordinate events: Schedule conventions and group activities, ensuring seamless service delivery with other departments.Communicate special needs: Inform relevant departments about VIPs, large groups, and key guests.Upsell services: Lead marketing efforts to promote hotel amenities and offerings.Responsible BusinessIncrease hotel visibility: Work with community groups, advertising agencies, and media to raise the hotel's profile and brand reputation.Promote sustainability: Highlight the hotel's "green" aspects to gain new business.Continuous improvement: Identify and implement improvements in marketing activities and overall sales performance.Team support: Assist with ad-hoc duties as needed.AccountabilityThis is the top sales and marketing job in a large, luxury, resort, or major flagship hotel. Hotel may have multiple sites and facilities, high-volume catering and/or convention facilities, and a large number of VIP and special service guests. May manage a large number of professional level and administrative sales, catering, and/or convention employee.Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related fieldFour or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales teamPreferred hotel knowledgeStrong knowledge of local businesses and business trends requiredMust speak local language(s)No 9-5 mentality - be available in the evening and occasionally as well during weekendsWilling to travel abroad (to promote IHG)Frans (troef)One free meal a day at the canteen cafeteria80% reimbursement for public transport or bicycle/mileage allowance with free parkingAfter 6 months: hospitalization and life insuranceDiscounts on their hotels (up to 70%)Benefits at Work
