Freelance UX/UI Designer (Part-Time, 3 Days/Week, 3 Months with possible extension)
Start Date: September
Brussels - Remote-friendly (office presence not required for part-time roles, if you can come 1x week it is a big plus)
Language: English Native or near Native and understanding of dutch & French is a Big plus.
We are looking for a senior freelance UX/UI Designer to accelerate digital initiatives over a 3-month engagement. You’ll bring strong expertise in UX/UI design, design system creation, and user journey mapping to help structure processes, improve user experiences.
You will collaborate closely with the UX lead and the other team in Europe.
Kickstart the creation of a Design System to ensure scalability and consistency (moving from Adobe-only workflows towards Figma-based practices).
Define and implement basic design processes and tools suitable for long-term adoption.
Translate insights from an ongoing "top task" website analysis into clear user journeys and actionable improvements.
Establish user-centered design practices to address current challenges, including underperforming digital products and low engagement rates.
5+ years of experience in UX/UI design with proven expertise in design system creation.
~ Strong background in customer journey mapping, information architecture, and usability testing.
~ Ability to work independently in low digital maturity environments and introduce scalable design practices.
~ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English.
~ Solid experience with Figma and ability to transition from legacy tools (Adobe Creative Suite).
~ Figma (design systems, prototyping, collaboration)

Hotjar / Google Analytics (user insights, behavioral analysis)
Optimal Workshop (information architecture, tree testing, card sorting)
UserTesting for remote testing
Jira / Confluence for collaboration with product and dev teams
